This is
like a defecto thing to have, buy 'em and put ‘em on! However, different
body colour will give different results when this black lid is mounted. So it depends on how it is done with regards
to the other exterior fittings you may have.
My black
ride may seems a waste of time putting on this black sports lid, and that’s why I didn’t jump into it at first.
After much observation and imagination, I believe it will improve the looks; instead of ending up “The more you do,
the more distasteful it becomes….”
The tools required here is minimal. Just
need a riveter and a hand held drill. The job itself is a mere 10 mins for trained hands.
Use a 7mm drill bit to drill the existing
river head for the upper and lower rivert. Once done, the head will just drop out and the stock lid can be removed. The top
rivet in the pic has the second half of river still intact. Just use a screw driver to push it and it will drop to the floor
like a coin.
Now
you can tell that the factory spray paint was done with lid on…
